Thank you everyone!

Hey everyone--

This is just a post of gratitude to Stardock developers and people like the Monk who, despite constant complaining, still continue to help us.

Many people are switching to Impulse now, and there seem to be many complaints about it.  However, every single one of them was later answered by an admin, pointing out what the user was doing wrong.  The "problems" we keep seeing are not of impulse itself.  They are simply because people are reacting to the adjustments that have to be made.

I now understand how hard it must be for you developers, because no matter what you do, some people will not like it.  However, you do it anyway in favor of the majority.    This is what I admire about you.  It shows that you care enough to do what you think will make the most people happy.

Thanks for sticking through it all and not letting the b*tching get you down,

Onyx

The DEVS deserve all the credit!

Seems to me the motto of BFS (BlackFootStudios):

"Do not build your community around a game, build your game around a community" is the way to go.....

Stardock has done this at every turn.  I'm definately a fan(boi?)...hehe  ;P

The "problems" we keep seeing are not of impulse itself.

I dunno, I had a conflict between Impulse and .NET and it took a few updates to finally put that to rest. I still get page script errors and "internet not connected" errors due to IE not being my default browser so I have to 'pre-connect' before I launch Impulse.

That said, I'm not complaining at all..I like not needing Impulse running! Strong feedback and frequent updates keep me as satisifed as you...and the devs can't possibly be getting 'down' with this level of success and achievment, they are getting paid and paid well...you and I and all the gripers too are paying them!

Quick thing on Impulse, why does it use IE7 and not Firefox!

Thank you Stardock + everybody else who's important but I don't feal like typing your names or don't know who you are!

They listen to suggestions and take them into account. I like that.

Oh, and using FF would require a lot of extra coding when IE is already in Windows.

Could i also add my thanks to the devs the game is quality and getting better the investment in time and money continues even when it meets with unappriciation. Also i would like to thank the community most of which are always helpful and show great patiants with many of us (monk , kitkun ,anartar11) to name a few although, i think the above exist only to serve the community as they spend so much time on it weldone all please keep it up GODS it is refreshing to find a thread such as this.

My name! It is butchered! :X

Seriously though, I can only speak for myself but I imagine the same holds true for the other community regulars - I'm here because Stardock and Ironclad (everyone forgets the poor chained-to-their-desks-and-overworked developers :P) created a good community even as early as the game's beta and they stuck with it, always listening to us and making it clear that even now we can still contribute to the game. If only some of you guys knew just how many regular fans and players' suggestions made it into the game already, and all of the planned content so far that we know of is all based around our feedback ;)

That said.. Kitkun, Monk and I are like a dynamic trio. I'm the good cop, Monk is the bad cop (poor guy gets flamed so much :P), and Kitkun is just a cute furry who's somewhere in between - but really the cuteness is just a cover for an evil mastermind.

Oooo...Anny do I get to wear my 80's mirrored sunglasses?  hehe  :D

Seriously though, you're abosolutely spot-on with regard to Ironclad.  They've been so refreshingly NOT like any other game developer out there.  Let's hope this community never forgets that.

IC, keep up the good work.  It is very much appreciated!

I came because I love the game. I'm still here because I hate unanswered questions.
