Ubisoft Brings Back the Prince

Ubisoft has announced that the Prince will be flying again in Ubisoft's 2008-2009 fiscal year. The Prince, of course, refers to the Prince of Persia franchise, which will see a new title heading to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The title will be “a new chapter” in the franchise, and not an extension of the Sands of Time trilogy that sold so well for Ubisoft, ending with Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

The game will feature "an entirely new storyline and new characters" along with bringing a "brand-new illustrative art style" to the series. Ubisoft also announced that a separate title in the Prince of Persia franchise will be heading to Nintendo's little handheld, the Nintendo DS. All forms of the game are expected to be released during this holiday season.
