Suggestions for the next "Bonus Pack"

Well yay for first posts ^^

This game is a game that no-one should miss but of course since this game offers AMAZING support. I might as well add some suggestions in.

1. Some sort of Mini-painting program for your empire. like two colours, one for the hull and 1 for the empire.

2. More maps

3.  Lower the anti-matter requirement for colonising a planet.

4. The ability to coerce the "Neutral Ai Empires" into fighting other empires, that means in large maps if you run into a Neutral non enemy planet you can have them develop and fight for you. I love immersion.

1. This would be quite nice, like homeworld. So long as it doesn't hurt performance.(would need a 4th texture, i imagine.)

2. A better option would be the host being able to send custom maps to players that join the game over ICO. :) 1.1 or 1.2 at the latest :(

3. It's fine how it is. For some reason you think you're SUPPOSEd to make 3 jumps an colonize a planet right away? Working as intended.

4. I don't play single player but this sounds like a good idea.

one thing i realise is how odd the damage systems are. How a Command ship has a hard time destroying a flak frigate or a light frigate, shouldnt it blow it to smithereens within the first volley or first few for that matter? Sometimes space battles can be tiring.

Wow what?.. no they can't.

Only Map Designer ones. Not Galaxy forge ones.

Also same doesn't work for mods.

I remember downloading a custom map at some point that didn't seem designed by the map designer (was symmetrical and had almost all asteroids at the periphery). It transferred fine, but maybe it was the designer.

Mods would only work if you limited it to under 500kb-1mb or so, or disallowed uploading of mods that contain changes to mesh, audio, movie, or texture folders. Which would leave a lot of people complaining that "omg it doesn't work with X mod". Better to just let them download the mod in advance.

mods are typically under 1mb...

Even if they're 10mb, that's very little with broadband.

If there is a 100mb mod, either people will sit around and let it download, or they'll leave because it takes to long. Why does the game care how long people are willing to wait to play it?

Hi, regarding issue 3 you can modify it you self easily.

Open following files and go to section in files.

Files:
AbilityPhaseFrigateColonize.entity
AbilityPsiFrigateColonize.entity
AbilityTechFrigateColonize.entity

Section:
antiMatterCost

And change level 0 to what you like.

Just remember - make backup before you changing okay :)

NOTE: If your files not in clear text then you first have to change your files with “Reference Data v1.03” files. You find these files here : WWW Link
