Can't join an empire

Well I sort of can. I have joined an empire and when I click on the "My Empire" link, my empire comes up. However, my name doesn't show. When I search for my individual username, it comes up and I can check my submitted score. When I get the score popup, it doesn't list me as being a member of any empire.

Quitting and rejoining the empire hasn't helped. I will be interested to see if I get my empire logo on this post.

Apparently you are NOT a member of an empire. Which one did you try to join? Some are open, some are on invitation only.Mine is open, for instance.

Coincidentally, it was the Apolyton Empire

The funny thing is that if I click on "My Empire" the Apolyton page does come up, along with an option at the bottom to leave the empire.
