having a partly-irish heritage (no comments that that explains a lot please), i have long adored the following traditional irish verse, (which is meant to be hung on the back of guest-bedroom doors in private homes) for it's cheery approach to life. (i don't have the original source, but if anyone does, please let me know. thanks).

As for my moms side ia m a mere 1/8 Irish...i dont know what i get from my fathers side. he was adopted.. i love this saying though...as soon as i have a home i am going to hang it there
