Frogboy HELP!!!!

I read a thread that listed the proper steps to reinstall the game which will make the update show up in SDC. Now I can't find it. I have the CD. Is this correct?
1. install game
2. install SDC and register Galciv
3. install Bonus Pack
4. install patch/ update

IIRC, you should install SDC before installing GalCiv.

Really? I could've sworn Frogboy said to install GalCiv first, then SDC.

I downloaded SDC first. Then downloaded Gal-civ, then the multimedia, then the bonus pack, and then the patches.

I have had zero problems with patching.

Even though my position is well quoted in the original post, I'll add that I'm in the same boat as Nirvana: DLed/installed Stardock, DLed/installed GalCiv (through the 465MB standalone installer), and then DLed/installed updates and patches through SDC. Haven't had any problems.

So, whether I heard Frogboy right or not, I can at least say that even if I did it "wrong", it's still working fine. :)

Hey, I never claimed to take CREDIT for the idea, I just passed along what I'd heard.

That said, I'm deriving a great deal of amusement from all the credit I'm getting in this thread. Lines like "I also followed Ash's sequence and am in update heaven" have me cracking up. LOL

Yeah. While I know how those are assigned, I still have no idea what EXACTLY it was I said that earned me the tag. ;)

On the other hand, I'm humbled by YOUR higher rank, higher number of high-scoring games, and higher number of game submitted. Of course, maybe if I stopped posting here I could have those stats too. ;)

Haha i broke my leg a few weeks ago..so no work, and computing is the best way to pass time. Even the G/F seems to enjoy playing it too :D Dont worry Apolyton is slowly catching you guys up hehe.

Thanks all. Is it guarenteed you can copy your saved games, then reinstall, then copy the saved games back? :notsure:

Yes bb. Others have done this succesfully, and even managed to upload the scores to the metaverse after.

Yep. Copy the folders and the .SAV files and you'll be good to go.

Aye ;)And 5 days ago we were 15,000 points behind you, today we are 3900 behind :D all we need is a few guys to post 1500 scores and we are level.
