How to keep playing on a cultural victory?

How do you tell the game that you'd like to keep playing even though you've achieved a cultural victory?

You have to declare war on someone to stop the victory countdown.

Well, cultural victory is one of the way to win. And you can't play the game after having winning it.

As the start of the game, you can choose which victory are possible. So you may disable the cultural victory at the beginning of the game. But you can't change the allowed win during a game.

You can't reset the counter. You can only stop the count down temporarily. In one game I had to gift lots of planets to the AI to stay under the 90% :p

I always switch the option off. I often win through culture but it's more a culture war until I could flip them all :d
