Chumming the water

Ok so early in the game some AI builds a Starbase near me. A shark egg is close. I go crack the egg and hide behind the AI starbase. Shark comes it wipes the base and then I lead off the shark and bring in a few constructors. Does the AI get wise to this and angry? Maybe this is futile at higher level but at normal it was working up top about 3 levels on the Starbase.

This is a good strategy. I often use my explorer to lead the shark to an AI planet so it can kill is weak ships.

I use this strat as well. The AI does not notice this as hostile. From the very begining of the game they are at war with the pirates and space shark. Happy Gamming.

It seems in my games that thing when I trigger it will seek my ships. What am I doing wrong? :notsure:

They will seek you ships if you trigger them. However, if you stay far enough away where it still has to chase you, it will attack enemy ships it passes as you go along. :)
