Where I End Up

Where I end up is puzzling,
But familiar,
Like the taste of a favorite food,
Made by someone new.
It recalls crashing waves,
And cars,
By young and old drivers alike.
Where I end up is conveniently out of the way,
The difficulty of a simple life made easily more complicated,
Or at least this was my attempt to be compelling.
It focused on unfinished projects,
Unseen successes.
Where I end up,
May have began with a we,
She is still there,
Where she is.
There is dish after dish of sea glass,
Amid other asthetics I had no appreciation for,
That confirmed no shared thoughts or dreams.
Where I end,
Is where I was,
When from moving feet,
I raised my head.
