Crash switching to Earth's detail screen - trap 5 at 0057D29C

I think someone reported this without a SE report, so since I was able to recreate it, here is a report.

==================
I had been looking at the detail screen of another planet via the planet list before going to Earth's planet view. Then I clicked on the detail button and got this report.

I have been getting the same problem... but I have never been able to get Smart Exception to work... I just read the readme and it says it doesn't work with NT4 which I guess it means it doesn't work in Win2k.

DarkHelmet (and anyone that can't get SE to work),

If you have a crash you think has not been reported with SE data post it with all you think is needed to recreate it and I will try to recreate it. SE is reliable on my machine and OS (Win/ME). If it is due to a trap and I can recreate the failure I will get a report. Also, save the game often. I may end up asking you to send it.

Yep...I was just going to post this one, as it's reproducible. Every time I go to Earth's detail screen I end up looking at my Windows wallpaper.
(Win2k Pro).

I've had this same problem as well. I had only 1 planet I could look at without crashing. It was a class 28, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it...

Jack, that was me with the original posting. And I have the same problem as Mr. Helmet - W2K doesn't seem to like SE. Thanks for your help.

Since I have a working SE I will try to recreate any crash someone with a non-working SE has, but I may need considerable detail of events leading up to the crash. Also, I may have to try it from a saved game, so it would help to have one that is very close to the crash.

DarkHelmet-

SmartException does work with Win2k.
