Poll

I did the poll at work. Now I'm at home and I can't see the results. Is there anyway to see them? Its not the end of the world, but I'm kinda curious to know what the breakdown is....

LOL Sorry, I have to laugh at that a bit....

But cool, thanks. Being that I'm on the slow end, I'm curious to know how pathetic I am ;) , and how quickly people have switched to the new fast chips....

Out of Curiosity, another poll might see what type of CPU
or how much memory in a person's system.

I find it curious that one of the boundaries chosen is one that was quite popular recently, namely 1G. I wonder how many people with 1 Ghz chose 600mhz to 1Ghz and how many with the same 1Ghz chose 1 Ghz to 1.5 Ghz. (Just a rhetorical thought, not a request for responses.)

For those that can't see the current results, with 48 votes in (I know there are at least 120 of us) option 5 is highest with option 3 second. Then option 4, then 3 and 6 looks tied, then 1.

I can see the results sort of looks like a normal distribution curve centered at about 1.6GHz.

Got to get myself one of those new fully loaded 3Ghz Dells I am falling behind. Maybe a Christmas present for myself :d

I think it's probably save to say I'm on the lowest quality system here (P-200 MMX).

I have a PIII-800 with 256MB W2000 and I have no problem to run GC.

What about those of us who are testing the game on multiple machines? We can currently only vote once. As well as my 2.66GHz P4 I run the game on a 400MHz P2. Bit slower, but still works fine.

Paul.

PS. I can see the poll results from work or home. I just log in again at the top right hand corner.

P3 Xeon 550, which I don't find slow at all with 786 RAM--when I'm *not* playing games. However, my 60+ Mom who can barely use one has a faster machine just because she bought it around a year ago (for less than 1/4 of what I paid!).

I got a 1.8 P4 w/512 pc800 RDRAM. I know the 1.8 helps but will GalCiv be 'faster' with more RAM? I am thinking of upgrading to a DEll P4 3.06Ghz with HT and 1GB pc1066 rdram. I'd be a XMas gift from my wife!

I've got a 933 so naturally I picked option 4: 1-1.5 ;p Unfortunately I could find no way to correct my mistake.
