I have been writing down some things I've noticed while playing. Most were encountered when I was playing tech preview 1. I present them to you in no particular order.
There is a bug when trying to remove multiple ships from the build queue. If you hold shift and then right click a group of ships in the queue, only 1 ship is removed. If you try this using the icon where you first ordered them, it removes 5. Its when its applied to the build queue that this is a problem.
When building multiple scouts, they fill separate queue slots instead of being grouped together.
I’d like it if the ship stats info card showed ship speed.
I’d like to know what a ship’s siege damage is.
It seems that the star derelict appears too close to the star. Even the garrison are pushed outside the derelict circle.
Moons need more planet slot selection. I don’t like that I can only build a surface lab.
Can’t queue ship component slots away from refit bay. I have to be in a gravity well that has a refit bay to select ship component slots. I'd like it if could queue something and then return to a planet with a refit bay.
Show garrison stats. I would like to know what the garrison supply of a planet is and how much is being used.
I would like to be able to manufacture ship components before installing them. I think this should reduce the install down time.
I had a weird case where a planet reported having an extra science structure. I think it got destroyed and rebuilt.
I had a problem where I queued a bunch of capital ships, but no exotic resources were being made for them. I think I added the ships when there were resources, but they were for earlier capital ships not yet built.
Commercial district says it requires higher level planet. I don’t like this. I like queuing the development of my planets well in advance. Not being able to build commercial districts until later is inconvenient to me.
There is nothing to destroy remaining structures after conquering a planet. Constructors used to do this. Now you have to leave a fleet around longer to do this.
I think the AI is terrible at navigating moving planets. I had turned off moving planets for game and found he AI seemed to do a better job of attacking me.
Exploring planets is not worth it (for now). Too expensive. If you are looking for exotic resources, its better to make them yourself.
Heavy Garrison – I don’t like that it requires garrison expansion as a prerequisite. I think you should be able to research the tech without its current prerequisite.
Hold position doesn’t seem to work.
Can’t make capital ships focus on derelicts. Capital ships tend to wander away to fight enemies and attack structures. Even the hold position command doesn’t keep them near derelicts. Capital ships only bother with derelicts when there is nothing else for them to do.
Can’t queue the construction of extractors when someone else has things built on those extractors.
I want a screen for reviewing income. If you get enough planets, the total income gets pushed down beyond the bottom of the screen. This screen should be scroll able.
Garrison fleets are good for wars of attrition. They can attack the enemy without costing me a penny (beyond the initial build cost).
I want a command to keep garrison fleets at the planet instead of flying to other gravity wells to fight. It matters since some planets are critical to staying in the game. See home planet victory.
Shipyards should be targeted if planet has garrison. They are an ongoing threat. Should be as threatening as any other defense structures.
