+1 on that! My feedback so far in detail:
Graphics:
The detail of graphics and especially the sync between when the bullets/rocket hits the target and when the hit points decrease impressed me very much. The level of detail is awesome, for instance turrets of the ships turning into the direction of the enemy before firing.
Planet Movement:
One of my favorite features is the movement of the planets, but 2 suggestions:
- think about deprecating hyperlanes and give ships a certain range in which they can jump from planet to planet. That would add even more spice to the game.
- if the hyperlanes need to stay, please indicate in what range of a planet another planet needs to be for a hyperlane to be generated / removed. What I imagine is for instance pressing ALT + mouse over a planet and the game shows a ring around a planet in which range the hyperlanes are generated. At the moment the generation/removal of these appears to be a bit random, sometimes leading to a lane being generated not to the closest planet but to a moon or so which is more far away.
Tech:
- the tech tree is very confusing and hard to understand. The tech tree in Sins 1 was much better.
- I love that you can queue for instance ship building without having it researched and this automatically adds the tech into the queue (applies also to other game parts like add stuff to the building queue before the planet development is finished)
Things I miss that I hope are only not there because of the early stage of the game:
- black market
- pirates (they're there but for whatever reason do nothing apparently?)
bugs:
- selecting multiple units with click and dragging is not possible. Either the units are deselected a moment later or none are selected at all. Only possibility for me to select a group of units is to click the left bar in the planet icon. Also assigning hotkeys doesn't work yet.
