Leader goes AWOL without notification

Hi All, please see the above save file to show the behavior. The governor of my planet Inoriondo II(Sp*) a class 28 world decided in the blink of a turn to go AWOL!

1. First, if I wasn't paying attention I would have never known this planet lost a governor. I realize the game is in alpha phase, but since the game has pivoted to a citizen/govenor approach style I would have thought there would have been more drama involved before my governor quit. Like in GalCiv III at least I got a little notification next to unhappy planets that warned me "Approval is dangerously low, and foreign influence is very high." But more importantly if I lose a governor give me a notification!

2. Okay, okay the planet approval was 36%, there were 3 citizens on a precursor capital world with a population cap of 1. I think my governor's happiness was 65% and her loyalty was 49%. What were my warning signs? She was an excellent governor and I'm not over the breakup yet....

Again to reiterate, love the idea that this can happen to me if I neglect things but am left a little annoyed in the execution and without an idea of how to prevent it. Open to discussion from admins and other players experiences!

One of the traits of leaders; I think, is that as Govenor they will run back to the pool if the planet is invaded.

How did that happen?

Was it a world you settled and put a Governor on?

We have had discussions in other threads about "important" notifications going unnoticed because they only appear in that trash pile of icons on the left side the screen. Our argument being that "important" notifications should be popups. I would go as far to say that every subject that a player should know should be a popup, but as in Paradoxes games you can go to options and choose to not show them at all, only show them in that afore mentioned left hand eyesore, or be shown as a popup like colonization or anomaly exploration do know.

That's correct, it was a world I assigned a governor too after settling with a colony ship.

I figured out a solution to a problem many posters in other threads are having.

They want to be able to change a Core planet to a Colony.

You did not want a Core planet to become a colony.

The solution for those who want what happened to you but can not get it to happen is to not want it to happen and it will.

Joking aside I think this is either a random bug or else the planet is or has been under an attack either physical, or influence centered.

I think you would have noticed the first.

The second may have skipped by you because of the horrendous notification interface I mentioned upthread.

May have been another form of no notice notice in which the Governor defected.

Otherwise I can think of no other reason for this behavior.

This is however one of the reasons we were given access to the game this early, to give them more eyes to find glitches so the can iron them out before release.

A question just so people do not get caught assuming.

The planet still belongs to you?

I had this happen on earth on my second or third game--it became a colony randomly on or about turn six. All but one of the citizens on earth was missing... I posted about this at the time on the main live branch thread (reply #26).
