Also seems to run pretty sluggish on the microsoft surface pro.  It is using 2 of four cores according to the setup.  Any way to improve at this early stage?

As for sys requirements you can find them in our FAQ. The game is NOT optimized yet. But if you can GC3 you should be fine running GC4, the biggest bump is in GPU requirements for the new graphics.

Same here. My monitor is a 1360x768 and the game does not appear to support this resolution and causes some text to overlap.
