TL:DR - Anyway to convert my mod made for v1.82 rebellion to work on current rebellion v1.91 ?
Back in 2014 i have made a great all out capital wars mod, i was so proud of it back then. I have had several permissions from several different mods to use the models and meshes and it was really great.
It was a well optimized mod and had no issues since it have no frigates which in turn means less clutter/rendering/memory/CPU issues to deal with, the mod was clean and running good with lots of integrated mods like different planet types, dreadnought class capital ships, gunships strikecraft (Original idea), bailknight graphical enchantments, volumetric explosions and well optimized sound effects (converted ogg to wav format to reduce further load on the CPU), it was all too great and i really had so much fun with it back then, playing with my friends and i rarely had any CTD's or lag even when playing on 60+ planets systems online with friends vs vicious Ai.
Sadly after that i have left to enter university and well that stopped me from gaming altogether for 4 whole years with barely any free time on hand. Here i am in 2018 with some free time, decided to fire up the game i once loved a lot but damn the game's been updated and now my mod no longer works, i totally didn't saw that coming and it was soo unexpected, i mean who would expect we'd still get DLC and updates for a decade old game?. The issue is my mod was made for V1.82 rebellion which was the latest and probably established final version back then.
Luckily i still have a copy of my old V1.82 rebellion cause i never touched my old pc after going to university and the mod works great, however i want to update the mod to the newer version. I do have some free time but not enough to do everything from scratch again and its a pain if i remember correctly, so is there anyway i can convert my mod from v1.82 to v1.91 or whatever the current stable final version is? any tools? or anything that needs to be changed in order for my mod to work with the latest version? It'll be a pain to rework from scratch and personally this makes me sad seeing my mod limited to older version of the game when i want to update the game and still play my mod, personally i cant play this game anymore without my mod, not after having done soo much with it and having so much fun.
Thank you.
