Hi there. So I'm making my first mod and I've run into a bit of a problem. For part of it, i've modified the Vasari loyalists so that the only things than can support strike craft are the titan and the starbase. Also, I've boosted the stats of the strike craft a fair bit since if you have more than 35 strike craft on a ship, it blocks every else on the info card. That part works fine, except now the Vasari Rebels also have super powered strike craft. I want the rebel faction to be unchanged.
Now I know that in the process for adding/modifying units you have to modify the string file and the player entity file, but when I search the player entity file of both the Vasari loyalists and Rebels for any mention of strike craft, (FighterPhaseCombat or FighterPhaseBomber) I find nothing. In the string file, there is some mention of it (IDS_SQUADPHASECOMBAT_NAME, IDS_SQUADPHASECOMBAT_DESC, IDS_SQUADPHASEBOMBER_NAME, and IDS_SQUADPHASEBOMBER_DESC).
Is there any way to modify the strike craft for one subfaction without affecting the other?
In case it isn't obvious, it for rebellion.
