I've got your mod and the minimod downloading now. Going to check them out. Not to be an ass.. But, if your mod isn't doing it for me. Does the minimod still work by its self?
Afraid not. Basically the core mod adds the ability of the other races to use phase gates, but the research for it will not appear unless you use the minimod. It is not functional by itself.
Also, it says that it costs the other two race far more. I honestly believe phase stabilizers should of been a generic building from the start.. And, they should of just gave Vasari something else instead. Is there any way to make the prices the same for all factions? If not its alright. Just having them is better than nothing.
While the Vasari are not underpowered by any means, phase stabilizers are one of their big in game advantages. If the other races could build them just as easily and cheaply, I think that would swing too much the other direction. Since this minimod will be most relevant on large maps late game when you need to move around a large Empire more easily, money and time isn't a huge issue anyways.
The minimod itself will contain the research file, so you could make that cheaper easily enough. You'll still have to get the hang of converting files I'm afraid, since they are in binary format for performance reasons. There's a guide here that has the basics of doing it the old school way (command prompt); I've been meaning to ask the author to improve it (or let me do so), but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
