Every time that I view to see if there are any pubic matches, I never see any. I am just wondering if maybe I have a firewall issue or something. Or it could be that no one is playing. I has hoping to be able to play a few games with some people.

So we don't know what ports need to be open?
Its even more complicated then that but all I need is to get the Dev to add the option or change how its done a tiny bit and it will be fine.
