Although I'm a relatively new member to the community, I've quickly become addicted to Sins, particular playing online on ICO. However, the community seems to lack a means for voice communication with one another both during games and for socializing. With me having time on my hands and a bit of disposable income, I've created a new Sins Mumble Server.
Mumble is voice communication application, like vent or skype, that uses very low bandwidth and is ideal for playing and organizing games, making Sins friends, and having speech communication in-game. Anyone who plays Sins of a Solar Empire, either in public games or in private games with friends, is more than welcome to join!
For those familiar with mumble, the server's information is:
Label: Sins Mumble Server
Address: PlaySins.com
Port: 64738
Username: [your in-game name]
For those new to Mumble, it's extremely simple to set-up:
1) Download Mumble from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files/latest/download?source=files
(it's not very big, ~15MB)
2) Run through the installation (you may want to put a shortcut on your desktop or quickbar).
3) Once installed, run the client. It will take you through a short audio configuration wizard to set-up your microphone. Once you've ran through the wizard, you should see a screen similar to this:

Click on the Add New... button. A new dialogue box appears. Enter the information as shown below:

Use your in-game name for username.
4) Play Sins!
Spread the word! Maybe we can finally start to get a real Sins online community started.
