Better, yes, wackier, no. Shit happens.
For a more informative version, it's been unusually warm for February in the US, with the jet stream further east than it typically is this time of year, allowing cold fronts to mix with the warm air closer to the east coast, forming tornadoes outside of tornado ally, but not in places that are actually abnormal, just not particularly common. Now if we start having tornadoes in Alaska, prepare to meet your maker because the end is nigh.
The thing is, this dead horse has been flogged andressurrected so many times now, and nobody can prove that global warming is anthing more than a cock-eyed theory, so I tend to have a bit of fun with it... like bend the truth a little, sometimes a lot in a tongue-in-cheek sort of a way.
We have had similar weather events here in Oz, with cyclones appearing more frequently, in areas that don't normally experience them, but it has nothing to do with gloal warming. Rather, they are the result of cyclic, naturally occurring events that have happened throughout history.... and always will. I keep hearing about how the cyclones are getting stronger and more ferocious, and how there's nothing like them in living memory because of global warming, but in reality, cyclones aren't gething more frequent or feroious because of anything mankind has done.... and there were more powerful cyclones recorded in history... Darwin 1974, for example.
Sadly, various greedy and ruthless men have concocted this fallacy of global warming to acquire more of our cash, and sadder still, so many have swallowed it hook, line and sinker, almost giving it a validity like it were gospel. Fools, that's all I can say.
