ahmm i like sims too - loved sim city!

whatever - i rly like stardock games.

and i rly love multiplayer - non MMO games.

its a simple correlation:

singleplayer = im the god (can and will be cheated), best story mostly

multiplayer = realistic balanced difficult challenging with HUMANS

massive multiplayer - no story, boring, grinding, shouting around with a bunch of other ppl i dont know.

multiplayer up to about 8 people is the gamestyle i prefer.

I'm 48, tried to play GC2, did play (and still play) Sins of a Solar Empire, played Civ 3 and up, although truth be told I'm not so much as a strategy gamer as I am a builder.  Still looking for that perfect game that encompasses building and world domination through underhanded & sneaky manuevering.  I want to be the power behind the throne, the puppet master... muaaaahahahahahahahaaaaa...

Basically, average player is about 33 and 95% of all players fall between the ages of 17 and 49, with about 70% of players between the ages of 25 and 41.

played AD&D, actually i have opened thevery  first club of RPG's in my city at the time (communism was not very supportive of stuff like that)

grow up playing chess, and then all strategy games i could get hold of

never liked galciv much, preferred stars! and space empire, and i am big fun of dominions 3 (though mp is a real time sink i have no time for right now)

some early strategy games that hooked me up: civ1, ceturion, warlock 1&2, Ufo 1 ...

I will be 57 next month (retired bricklayer);  played Gc2 but never ad&d.  I have always enjoyed Tbs games but not so much Rts. 

Some of the best turn based games I've played:

Master of Monsters (Sega Genesis), Dark Wizard (Sega Cd), Panzer General (Originally bought this on the 3DO console),  Homm 3, the Civ games, V is the best imo, Gc2

Rts:

Company of Heroes, Sose Trinity (have not been able to afford Rebellion due to fixed income - maybe get it for Christmas or Birthday)

Anyway, I really enjoy playing Fe.

Yay, Dark Wizard!

My name is Toby, I'm 30 years old, and I think I have a problem. I have played too many video games. Is this the support group I'm looking for?

I'm 19 and I only played GC2 when it had some sort of deal on steam a couple months ago. I got into Fallen Enchantress only recently and Love it.

I can add some data for two other FE players who I know well but they don't post in the forums.

My father is 67.  This is his second Stardock game if we count WoM.  He did play a small amount of pen and paper AD&D back in the day

My nephew is 17.  This is i his first Stardock game and he never played AD&D

38 and this is my first, well second, (Is Elemental 1 or 2 games now) Stardock game.

I own Galciv 2, Sins of the Solar Empire from Stardock. I play anything I can get my hands on, and I plan to keep doing so until the Death himself will knock the gamepad/mouse/joystick out of my shaky, wrinkled hand. 

I thought I am by far the oldest in this bunch, and it seems that I am pretty close to the median. 

My friends always scorn me - an adult guy like you, and you still play stupid computer games! What can I say. The dragons may be terrifying, the orcs vile and bloodthirsty, the trolls stupid, and the dark wizards may lust for power, but if I switch on TV or take a stroll in the "real" world, it's much worse there outside than here in the realm of unfulfilled dreams.
