So my team lost this game. I'm calling on the rag-tag Sins community to give me some feedback on WHY. My team had Random Map as El Capitan, Traxin, Ozakalukas (or however it's spelled), and a new player. The opposing team had Howthe? (captain), Candido, KBroke, Universe, and a new player. Some might say the teams were imbalanced, especially the level of the respective captains, but let's just ignore that for now. How could we have won this game?
Some points of interest:
The game starts with each team's new players being quickly dispatched from play reducing it to a 4v4.
Each side has at least 1 Vasari Loyalist. As you will see, results vary.
I expand as much as I can until I reach the boundaries known as Howthe? and Kbroke. Then it gets kinda stalematey. I almost kill Kbroke's Titan but somehow it gains levels and crazy health just before dying. I think he might've Wailed and gained a level just before dying - great luck for KBroke. We have some really intense mirror match (AR) fights and due to wail, Titans, bombers, starbases, etc. can't advance. Same for me and Howthe?: chokepoints with starbases create a stalemate point.
I didn't see much of what happened on the left side but was surprised to see that Candido was never eliminated from the game, despite being in the suicide spot. That might answer my question for me (and good for him I suppose).
Anyway, long story short, game gets decided when Howthe? does the Flying Macarana to my homeworld and our team still hasn't made much progress. I think only Traxsin and I had any real fleet left by late game for some reason.
So, what went wrong? Is Kostura cannon-phase node creation-fleet jump OP? Were opportunities missed? Please give me your insights...
