Tool of the trade

Hey i'm new her and to everything mod related, i was wondering if anyone could give me a comprehensive list of software required to create a mod at each stage please.

 

any help would be good and i know there are sticky's at the top about modding and help out, but they mention some software but not all that is require (unless i'm being blind.)

Notepad ++ works great for coding.

Tons of program download hyperlinks on that one thread.  Very useful resource for any beginner modder.  Check it out.  That one thread is the Titan for modding programs.

 idk.  I would ask Sinperium or ZombieRus5.  I would especially reccomend ZombieRus5.

 

A tactic I've been wanting to try is seeing if I can join a mod team to learn how to mod.  I'd be happy to have help with my currently in stasis Darkness Mod.  At least then we could learn how to mod together. 

 

I'll always try to help.  Even if that does require me asking Yarlen to sticky modding threads.

Notepad++ for the coding and strings, 3DS Max + Softimage XSI for model making/skinning/rigging, Photoshop or GIMP for tga and dds editing/creation, ParticleForge for particles, and GalaxyForge for maps. I think that covers all of it.
