Homeworld mod?

My friend ran this idea by me yesterday, and I did some looking aroound but havent found any evidence that anyone has tried this, which I find surprising.

 

Anyone seen any attempts at making a Homeworld mod for Sins?

 

If not I might have just found myself something to do

Someone did it a while back in the days of Original Sins, but like Ryat said it is way out of date by now. AFAIK there were tons of issues adapting, or simulating Homeworld style mechanics in sins. Now with Entrenchment and Diplomacy some of those issues (like lack of fighter movement) may be gone, but i dont think anyone is arsed enough to try it again.

They did but I believe it got as far as 1.031 for Entrenchment.

I would also love to see a Homeworld mod for Sins, one was tried in the past, but as Ryat and Major Stress said, it didn't get very far.

In all actuality if anyone is interested in a homeworld 1/2 mod, I can give you leads.

The "Complex" and "PDS" mods I think will have the best selection of iconic HW ships

 

The files are in a mass file called a "big" file. The tool to extract the individual files from it can be found on this page.

I just uploaded the mod.

 

I got it to work up to entrenchment 1.041

 

since I was updating it for my own personal use it has a lot of additions that I put on myself. I'm just tired of doing a one man show every time there is a patch.
