you could ban his cd key sure,,

BUT IF HE BUYS ANOTHER COPY OF THE GAME.....

tried to say this earlier noone seems to understand this concept

Then he's plunked down his money and purchased another chance to play the game.  If he repeats his behavior, that CD-key would get banned too.

He's probably just hacking legit keys and then screwing someone new when they try to register.

Each time he wants to spam it will cost him $40 and if starts spamming again, they can quickly ban that cd-key when they finalize ths sop in banning spammers.

Spammer is still here

Perhaps ICO overhaul is in order.

Limit characters you can use for your name to exclude characters that are used for code aka replays whispers etc.... That way you can actually use ignore command.

Limit number on names used per account to 10 or so. That should be plenty I think.

Dear ICO,

Ignoring the spammer, ignoring your community, does not make him go away.  He still is torturing us, and has been incessantly.  Thank you for continuing to NOT fix YOUR problem.  We paid money to play for a feature that was included, and its being ruined because of this.  BAN the spammer or GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

For starters, I think people would like to see some sort of mere acknowledgment of the issue from Stardock/Ironclad just so that we know they are aware of it.

This is just another step in the wrong direction if you ask me. Stardock has just gone down the toilet ever since they released Entrenchment. This is why I don't play multiplayer. Some people just ruin it for everybody. Maybe they should get a designated chat monitor or something? Anything is better than ignoring the issue.

Well, I don't know about now, but around the time that Sins was made Ironclad had like 9 designers/developers...SD has enough issues trying to handle impulse while simultaneously cleaning up after Elemental...and, they have to prep for Gal Civ III or whatever their next big game is...that is quite a lot for a small company with a low budget...

I discussed this in another thread in more detail, so I won't labor too much in this thread...but Sins has a very small online community and is not likely to see an increase in sales if it makes a better MP (rather, more people simply return to ICO that already own the game)...Sins is old, and while it is still a great game it has come to the point where SD must look more to the future and less to the past...

Yes spammer is still here but i don't see him using " in name anymore so /ignore command works.

to dews if that is their work. 

Yes problem is longstanding but I bet they got some other stuff to do besides playing detective and hunting spammer. As I said /ignore works so things are getting better .......

Other than rewriting ico and create program that hunts people that post x y z messages in second and bans them or have 24/7 person employed that monitors all ICO chat I cannot see how devs can sort this out.... If program is written monitor for improper keywords as well   . 

I do believe that devs have a pile of other work cut out for them with all other projects and with supporting this - how old is SINS - years old project the way they do it....

I know sometimes it's hard to be patient especially if RL makes us stressed and we look for stress relief in SINS. Come online and ......
