New PLANET MOD?

Uzi has gone un-updated for some time now to my knowledge? are there any mods that add new planet types out there? i had alot of fun with this one and would like to have it again. thanks for the help!!

Many do.  Distant Stars for example uses sins plus and celestial bodies to add planet variety.

also the mealstorm mod might release there planets in its own mod so people can use

I'm assuming the mod is incompatible with the beta patch for diplomacy. Does anybody know how I could uninstall this the beta patch so I could play the Distant Stars mod?

Distant Stars is compatible with the beta patch...  At least in the sense that you gain the benefits of the memory usage changes and not the balance changes, however DS already has a fair amount of balance changes already included so really, you're good to go.

 

However, if you still want to remove the beta patch, uninstall your game and start up impulse again and reinstall...  Mind you, you have to go back and uncheck the box for betas and pre-releases so you don't reinstall the beta again.

Yeah especially cause Nacey had to go to bed before the mod finished uploading.

The main issue?

Massive music files.

You don't have to reinstall. Uncheck the show pre-release box and then do a search for updates.

Just began playing distant stars for diplomacy. so far im getting used to the change in play style. i miss my usual 2 vasari carrier caps fallowed by an egg colonizer for starts. and whats the explanation on the other races cap ships being so much more over powered? did the ai just research weapon upgrades crazy fast or are other factions just better now???

Combination of both. The AI in diplomacy at vicious level gets a research cheat. Add that with DS's massive upgrades in all things and you can get some scary games. Suggest armor upgrades first.

i am currently wrapping up production on the planets for the soge mod. it will still be in beta but you will be able to get them.
