Oh I misread that. Its still possible, but in this case you will need to find the damage particle effects or perhaps make your own if they don't work and give it to a passive ability that otherwise does nothing. Unfortunately I don't know much about particles or effects, so I would find a particle forge guide somewhere.

As for whatever you wanted with the starbases, I doubt whatever you wanted to do could not be accomplished by a frigate or a capitalship.

might try it out on one of my models that i might not use

im going to do it so that as the capital ship gets upgrades such as the incendiary it will gain its aotucannons and when it gets the ability that also adds damage over time to beams it will gain beams
