Could not do it like the factories, but you can put in abilities that will create the ships similar to the Vasari capital Carrier's abilities (scramble bomber and the replicator).

nemesis, the tec starbase does NOT move, and the frigate selection buttons would conflict with the orders & fleet buttons(that are needed for movement), and a few of us modders have tried to get a starbase to both move AND build ships, but to the best of my knowledge no one has succeded

in fact someone has, i found it on the forum and was able to download the file, the only thing missing is the left click move order, right click works fine. think i found it in 'moveable starbases'

i was hoping that there would be a file somewhere which indicated what kind of ships/structures has the ability to create other ships?

im still wondering though, if starbases can be made to travel between planets and if so, can the maximum number of starbases a planet be changed?

ill see what can be done, but i'm afraid if i change the entity type it will no longer have the starbase upgrades and thats quite important.
