Eve online Titan & environnement

Hi everyone i have converted the galente Titan erebus from eve online for soase diplomacy- distant

stars 0.7 and one environnement map too (re-rendered into a 3d software for a good 360°

view).

the Titan textures are retouched for add reflections, team colors and bloom.

I have add a missile turrel too on the side of the model.

I know I would be interested. I could never get into EVE, but I always thought the ships looked amazing (they were the only reason I kept trying the game). I know someone else was working on an EVE mod, but it appears to have died.

When you say you converted the ship from Eve Online, I'm assuming you meant you ripped it from the game files and converted it to work in Sins.  Since this is personal use, CCP isn't going to fall on you like a ton of bricks, however I would advise against making an Eve mod through converting Eve ships until you have permission from CCP to do so.

There is someone else working on an Eve project here. Perhaps you can get together with them, and share your work. Look around i am sure you will find the topic.

CCP seems to be very generous with permissions AFAIK as long as you do not profit from your project. They view it as free advertising. So contacting them should benefit you.

Nice work. Nice to see other than sins default skyspheres.

slap in two more for the other races and make it a titan add in mod

Yes, left a comment on your video that this is what the Vasari are running from!

The other EVE mod project got permission from CCP I seem to remember. Do that and I think the mod will be popular. Different mod for each faction. At the top of the research tree. Seems like this would be a better uber weapon for ending drawn out games than interstellar cannons.

Heh, best I've seen in EVE was a Minmatar Dreadnought some guy brought to high sec space to show off to ppl.

kyogre12 lol I know what you mean, I played the game for nearly two years... its slow... highest I got was getting close to the force recon Tech 3 cruiser for the Amarr. Best ships I got were the Amarr Apocs battleship, Caldari Roak battleship and the Caldari Raven. But the real ones I had fun on was the Minmatar Hurricane BC, Artillery cannons I had on that thing could snipe from 100 kms away and it did pwnage damage, DPS was great on that ship

Hi, i have updated my titan and converted one more great environment map from 'Eve online'.

Good news ? i have find the way to enable the env map with a new  skybox/texture (i say that because for example in distant stars the 2 env map dont work... nevermind) here the solution.

The skybox**environmentcube.dds textures need to be saved like that: 'cubemap' DXT1 RGB 4bpp | no alpha and for the SkyboxBackdrop*.dds: 2d Texture DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha.

I hope that can help the community a little, you can see my mod update here on youtube & download it with this link (100% working with distant stars beta 0.7)

So that's a TEC vessel (judging by the player picture and audio clips playing during the first video)?  How does it compare to their other capitals?

Its based on the Tech carrier of the distant stars mod but the stats and price are increase by 25%, the shield value are lowered by 50% and add to the armor.

The weapons look like a tech battleship but with long range missiles & deadly flak near the ship ).

Ah very good there manesse, sticking to the kanon about eve ships with the race, Gallente and Amarr being the armor tanks while Caldari and Minmatar being shield tanks

Well, I'll definitely have to add this in to my Distant Stars then, just as soon as I mod the weapons so they benefit from the TEC researches.

EDIT: Yes, we here want an Eve mod, however there was already an Eve mod or three in progress, so try and join one of them.

I have begin Eve online recently so i dont play soase anymore or its just for see how i can mod it but i can convert more ships if needed (i have a big experiences in 3d its very quick for me), you can see the ships here

Heh, I can't play Eve anymore, money is an issue... besides I grew bored of the game... also if I did go back on my main account I'd lose just about all my assets seeing how the last time I was playing I was in 0.0 space, was in a corp at the time which was in an alliance. Sufficent to say... they kicked me after a while of inactivity, so corp mates and old alliance mates will shoot me on sight seeing how I'd be neutral to them. What am I in by the way?

My character is in a Rokh battleship seeing the price on that being a base of 165 mil isk... think I got mine for around 225 mil... add another 150 isk in hardware and weapons and that's a lot of credits down the drain if I get popped. Speaking of which... ever see a battleship tank a gank of 5 ships or more? lol try flying a Marauder battleship, Saw a Golem tank 5 guys who were gate camping and they all got owned

If you're basing your ships off of the titans of EVE. I'd think the Avatar class would suit the Advent quite well due to its somewhat elegant looking hull.

I think the Leviathan fits the TEC the best in terms of looks. But eh, it's your mini-mod. I can't complain . It'll be awesome whichever way you take it.

Hey man I play eve and I can get you first hand experience on any ship/weapon/module in the game if you want. Titan looks good. If you ask me you should do it where you add 4 new races to the game (Minmatar,Amarr,Gallente, And Caldari) and basically do race specifc ships like for Minmatar you could edit Tec since minmatar are mainly Projectile users and for the carrier you have the Hel and for mothership you got the Nidhoggur. The Naglfar for the dread, Claymore for the command cruiser. Then just for a few more examples/ideas here il throw out a few more.

Hello, thank you everyone for all the helps you try to do.

 

I did some work on my little mod, the gallente battleship megathron is converted and fully working, the specularity post process is much better too on the 2 ships and i have created a new sun flare.
