there is a bare thread of a story given by the devs

and there are those of us that have created our own stories within that bare thread, look for them on the forums (one thread is called the Distant Stars Lore, it brings in the Distant Stars mod into play as well)

can u join your game with your games so that my empire joins yours and becomes part of the big picture

If you want a story, watch a movie or read a book, or play an RPG or puzzle solving type adventure game.  If you want a kick-ass 4x-RTS strategy game that is also fun to play in online multiplayer, get Sins.
