Is there a way after research to disable a weapon and replace it with another one after a research instead of adding a new weapon.
Example
Tech starbase currently has missile weapons, is there a way to create a update in which after I do this upgrade, the missles weapons will disappear and its place, a projectile weapon?

Ok let say the excelsior class of the star trek mod. Let say I use the research excelsior upgrade, instead of giving bonus, it changes the disruptor weapon to the phaser
