I just played a custom made map with wormholes in it, myself. I'm new to the game and have recently found a way to make pirates inactive - this was great because pirates have been a plague for me ever since I started playing. Anyway, I played my first custom map yesterday and really enjoyed it (even though I lost after three hours) and decided to make a new custom map today and play on that. I included wormholes because yesterday I played as the Advent and noticed something about Wormhole Mastery or something on the tech tree. I guessed that all factions have more or less the same abilities, but I was wrong, as when I played as TEC on my new map, there was no wormhole thingy on the tech tree. There were half a dozen wormholes on the map, though, and my AI opponent kept using them, much to my disadvantage, it seemed.

Well, my point is (not the OP, mind), does every faction have access to the wormholes, or are they just available to use for one faction?
