Quoting BlackHawk141, reply 23I think with bigger ships, bigger explosions shown in TV Advertisements, will help entice people into this game, then FINALLY THE HAWK CAN COME BACK TO WHOOPING CANDY ASSES!
Boys, do you know how much is the cost of TV advertisements or other type of advertisements ?
Today, it become more easy with Impulse but when sins was released, there was not Impulse... TV advertisements have certainly double the cost of the game... more, before the release, nobody have think that a game like sins will work so good...
I think that a Sins-2 would benefit from some marketing, but not TV marketing. Perhaps targetted marketing would be cost-effective--such as banner ads at web forums and sites that cater to gamers in addition to "viral" marketting on discussion forums where they hire someone to join gamer forums and talk about how good the game is.
Merit is the real advertisememnts of these game, not some high end TV spot who show a hyperrealist video who have nothing to do with the real quality of the game...
The best thing that could happen for Sins-2 would be for it to be a first-rate, high-quality, perfectly polished game that is exceptional for online multiplayer. If thousands of people would play it online and become fanatical about it, they would encourage and pressure their friends and other people to get the game and would market the game with their enthusiasm.
