Entrenchment does not have a manual.
saw a lovely replay the other day where I would swear to god the player's starbase was moving about the gravity well, but when I play my first Entrench SP, random choice gave me advent, and I couldn't make my SB move, so I just laughed, and presumed it's some kind of subfeature or sheer confusion.
Only the Vasari starbase moves. It's commonly regarded as the most deadly starbase as a result.
TEC and Advent starbases are built by their respective starbase builder units. The Vasari starbases are built by colony frigates after you've researched the correct upgrade. The starbase itself builds faster in friendly gravity wells then it does in enemy gravity wells (yes, you can build starbases in enemy gravity wells. It's very effective). Each starbase can support up to 8 upgrades. All starbases have weapons, health, hangar, and trade port upgrades. The other types of upgrades need to be researched and are unique to each starbase.
The TEC and Advent got new "assault cruisers" which can only attack structures. The TEC Ogrov is a starbase killer that deals massive damage to a single target. The Advent Adjudicator is better at cleanup, being able to attack multiple targets simultaneously (also for high damage).
All factions got mines. The TEC mines are built via the tactical structure menu, and your construction frigates will deal with them. The Advent drone host, once upgraded, can carry a squad of minelayers instead of strike craft. The Vasari have a dedicated minelayer unit that does nothing but lay mines. As a result, Advent and Vasari can lay mines in hostile gravity wells, but TEC cannot.
There are some other more minor changes, but these are the important ones. Hope that helps.
