Me, passive aggresive?!?!
I'm not passive aggressive but I can be plenty active aggressive!!! @#*/%&!!!
My Beast spits in your general direction!!!

And I said: 'Spit isn't that powerful against experienced opponents.' That wasn't meant to imply you are not experienced (I apologize, I probably should have phrased that clearer.) but to remind you that an experienced player will have HP regen items, stack HP and buy healing minions.
What I mean is an UB player will never get the damage Spits tooltip advertises. Level 10 Oak will usually have at least 25 HP/s regen, monks and can easily dodge at least one of my Spits with shield. So when you crunch the numbers you will see that if you make it past your towers with 1500HP and I spit on your Oak you won't die. If you still have one monk around you will be fine with even less. If you have a TP or a health potion I might as well not spit on you and save the mana. (Of course I will spit anyway to make you use that item...)
Erebus can go into mist, cooldown 15 seconds. So he can basically avoid every second spit. Sedna can just heal spit away plus with her natural regen and her idols... QoTs shield will just negate most of the damage from the Spit...
Spit is valuable to have and will be really nasty against Reg, Torchy, Rook and towers, no question but its use against generals who know how to dance is limited. I will have to rely on Ooze, Grasp and my auto attack damage. That's why you will see so many hybrid builds or Ooze UBs.
The reason Spit is feared and hated is not the damage it does but the time it takes. You can see your life running out while you desperately try to get to your crystal in time. It's far easier to accept to die to that Hammer Slam or Fireball than to see your your life draining away over several seconds...
