Honorverse Ships

This is my attempt to model a couple of ships from the Honor Harrington novels by David Weber. The large ship is the RMN Nike a battlecruiser. The small one is RMN Falcon a destroyer. The textures are some free ones I found on the internet. I don't know how to make textures.

pretty cool you have done your homework

pity you cant get their shield to like in Honorverse

In fact I did make a wedge type shield with sidewalls. The only thing is I can't make the ships roll to expose there top or bottom to incoming fire. Eventually I hope to make a whole fleet. If anyone would like to use there models I will gladly share.

Nice looking ships, loved the books.  Hope you can get a working mod for those eventualy

I'd love to play with what you have so far.

I've been wanting to do this, but so far haven't been able to find ANY existing meshes, and have been tooo lazy to make my own...sort of shocked you were apparently able to find some; I thought I looked everywhere.

I do not want to be a party pooper but Honoverse mods have been started and shutdown time and time again throughout the past 5-6 years. David Webber (when asked by a Homeworld 2 modding group) stated that he while he did not have a problem with people making things, Baen Books would likely serve a cease and desist notice. And they were served that notice. I would be careful distributing what you have because technically, as far as the lawyer world is concerned, that is copywrited material, owned by a large publishing company, that will likely have no problems serving you a cease and desist notice.

 

Just something to think about. We have already attempted to get some stuff working in another 'honorverse' thread. I have mostly steered towards trying to get an honorverse map up and running. I am currently running into a few issues and am hoping to get some feedback from IronClad themselves about the issues.
