The Republic

Emerging from the deep reaches of space, the Republic imposes their ideas and philosophies on the eager.  With great success they have expanded into this new galaxy filled with terror and plight.  The TEC saw this as a great opportunity of trade with a new species rich with resources.  The Vasari and Advent, however, saw the Republic as a new enemy; one that need to be wiped out.  However, all of them were deceived as the Republic’s only wish was to take over new territory and add them to its expanse.  Several treaties were drawn up and sent to the leaderships of the TEC, Advent, and Vasari in an attempt to allow them to peacefully join the Republic.  The Republic knew it would only be a matter of time before they would be attacked. It prepared its military forces for an immediate and eventual counter-attack.

Advantages:

-The Republic has strong weapons, focusing mainly in ion technology.  All of the ships weapons are able to create anti-matter problems for ships being attacked.

-The Republic focuses on strike-craft numbers (much like Advent) to create a presence of superiority in battle.

-The Republic has strong shield technology, with the ability to improve them further.

Disadvantages:

-The Republic is lacking in phase technology, and has a higher wait for phase jumps.

-The Republic has weak hulls, making them easy to destroy after their shields are dismantled.
