I just got Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment and I really like it a lot. However, one of the first disappointing things I noticed about it though is the number of planets the game has. For instance, there are only two types of Terran planets. It seems kinda weird to have like 6 Terran planets in a solar system and 3 of them look exactly the same. I want some diversity.
Is there a way to create my own planets? I really want to mod one of the Terran planets (a Terran planet with continents and water) and create a new Terran planet with different looking landmasses. I also want to change the locations of the dots of light that show up on the dark half of the planet.
I've tried to find tutorials on how to mod the game, and I found this thread:

But the link to the tutorial doesn't work.
So I thought I could try to add someone else's custom planets to my game. I found the Sins Plus mod by Uzii, which has the kinds of planets I want to create:

This mod pack has some really cool looking planets, such as Toxic, Industrial, and Paradise. I can't firgure out how to add these to my game though. I extracted this mod into the required directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.01
And I enabled the mod in the Options menu of the game. However, once I hit apply, the game froze. I don't know what to do!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
