I have to disable direct draw to get it to run properly on windoze xp

Same here.

I expect it to be corrected or more likely be wrote on the game page. It's not good to claim a game is compatible with windows xp without trying (and I think it's unlikely that there're people with directdraw disabled on that system).

Start-> Run -> then type 'dxdiag'  -> OK -> Next Page -> Next Page -> Click Disable next to DirectDraw Acceleration -> Start your game and enjoy! 

This method works for me and it appears you'll have to do this if you have an Nvidia card.  It would be nice to have an automatic fix for this but oh well.  It only cost me 99 cents.  I only bought it because I remember enjoying the demo a few years back.

Oh and once you're done be sure to renable DirectDraw Acceleration so your other games and apps that use it will work.
