Obsurd (Demigod)

Was anybody else miffed by Frogboy's claim that Demigod could be "the best game to come out in the past 2 years"? Lol... As I sit here in the early hours, I have 3 custom games I can choose to join.. and 2 are European. Even if they had added a legitimate single player campaign/story and 6+ more heros and more map selections, it would still be a flaky claim at best. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing it, but I also enjoy playing WPT Hold 'Em on my cell phone.... you know?

No, I wasn't miffed at all. It's his game, dude. Of course he's going to think it's awesome. I'm a little miffed that you're raising it as an issue, I think it's bullshit that you did, to be honest.

It *is* an awesome game, by the way. It's not the very, very best, but it's definitely a first-tier production, right up there in quality with such games as Company of Heroes, Dawn of War II, C&C 3, Supreme Commander, or Sins of a Solar Empire.

Funny how 2 other Top-Tier games have come from the same studios that collaborated to make Demigod. I think, like all the cynical haters on these forums, you don't give Stardock or Gas Powered nearly as much credit as they deserve.

I think I might agree that it's a close to being a top - tier game, but you're gonna be hard pressed to find anyone that would agree that it the best game to come out in the last 2 years. Maybe it's my frustration over the multiplayer mess, but this game COULD have been better and to make that statement in the middle of this fiasco was irritating.

I guess I'd just like to see the PLAYERS make that statement instead.
