FIX ICO

Seriously, why does is still dump people sometimes.  It disconnected me twice tonight, while I was in game.  It's like ICO decides that some days it's just going to crash, and nothing you can do can stop it, even hosting without alloy.

I'm no expert, and i woln't pretend to be... but isnt it the individuals internet connection that gets them disconnected? I'm probably wrong, but if there's a problem with anything, im sure that ironclad is doing their best to fix it.   good luck getting things fixed.

It depends, but more often than not, ICO just decides it doesn't like you and drops you, even though your connection is fine.  I haven't had problems for a month, and then over the last week it has reared its ugly head again.

yeah it used to happen to me a lot but i havent had a problem in some time now. i guess it randomly singles people out

I have had quite a few minidumps myself.  They never cease to be frustrating!  If you gonna have a game tha tminidumps people over a year after release, at least give us easy way to rejoin the frikin game if it's still in progress.  How many games have I had where its 30 mintues to an hour of build up and jsut as I was about to fight, minidump!  Or 2 hours into a game, minidump.  Click your missile barrage button ready to kill 100+ enemy ships.. minidump.

I agree that the ability to rejoin a game in progress after a minidump would be a large improvement.

I'm still amazed by people who rant here in the forums about their particular technical problems. If you try and fail to fix it by yourself, you ask for support via e-mail. We don't want to hear about it in the forums.

Funny, I didn't know a rant could only be 3 sentences long. 

And no, this isn't something the user can fix.  It has to do with the ICO server.

By the way, more often than not the minidump actually kicks all people. I actually encountered this in a 5v5 and even though we managed to rehost it it dumped again around the same time. Of course I agree that they are annoying and should be fixed either way. However I'd guess that Ironclad would've fixed it already if it wasn't a nasty bug hidden deep within the source code which they can't even localize

I'm not actually talking about a minidump.  I am talking about when you are in game, and you get the yellow text that says "Disconnected from Ironclad Online."

Can we put the default autosave time to 5 minutes.

This way if a game dumps , you would be within 5 minutes of dump if everyone decided to restart.

While that would be a fine idea, I never see anyone willing to rehost the game.  They just play without you.
