Someone posted that I don't know shit about games and how they are made etc. etc.
The thing is that I DO. I know enough programming languages to understand how things work.
And believe me, making balance tweaks is by far the EASIEST job a programmer could have.
Don't know about bug fixes though. Depends on what kind of bugs we are experiencing. As someone posted before there shouldn't have been any in the first place.
And PLEASE stop feeding me and others with "later"s. "It will get better, blah, blah". The fact is that it costs 40$ today, not tommorow.
And for this:
As mentioned above, fixing bugs will take higher priority than adding new features.
BTW if you had seen the hours some of the Stardock staff did this week (including all nighters), you would not be saying they were lazy.
Can I use this chance to ask you to make Alt+Tab NOT crash Demigod please? Thank you!

The history of video games proves otherwise. This game might not die, but it'll most likely never be very successful and will never have a large pool of players.
The first week, event he first day, is the most important period of time in a game's life, particularly if it's an online game. Miss it, and the game will at best have mild success, and at worst will be deserted in a matter of weeks.
Iirc, there are a number of hugely successful games that had utterly horrible server problems during the first week. Just off the top of my head I can cite WoW and Halo 3. Blizzard simply wasn't prepared for the massive influx of people upon WoW's release and their servers went down. Similarly, the sudden burst of activity upon Halo 3's release crashed Xbox LIVE. Today, these games could be safely defined as some of the most popular games in their respective generas.
I think the only difference between Demigod and the other games is that Stardock only got paid for about 10% of the used copies .
Stop comparing WoW please. I don't even like that game to begin with. Too mindless. And it has a shield behind it (Blizzard).
As for the 10%, I don't know how much games cost to make, but I suppose 600,000$ is enough for a first week of release to pay off everything, no
?
And I completely agree with Werewindlefr. That's how I began thinking about making a thread like this. Maybe Stardock will make things quicker
? Or maybe they'll hire me and I'll work for free (and yes, I will), who knows ^^ ?
Edit: I read someone posted about constructive critisism.
I REALY hate beeing rude right now, but shut up. Right now the devs don't need constructive critisims as much as they need to fix all the bugs, which all can be found in the "Demigod Ideas" and "Demigod Technical Support" threads, with logs and everything.
And for some more constructive critisism, read my last lines before the edit.
