Domina Subjugators

Any good?

1) Any good?  What's the consensus?  Of all the support cruisers in the game, for all races, where do you think they rank?

2) TEC builds tons of robo-cruisers for support.  In light of this, what is a good "spam level" for Subjugators in a typical Advent fleet?  Tons?  Minimal?

i only ever build a few of them

since i play with just one big fleet i find that having moar atk ships is good

abilitie wise preservation is useful passably

and subjegation is near usless for me

well it doesnt use to much supply but i never use moar than like 15

I only ever bother building them to chase down small groups of enemy ships, just 3-4 subjugators and 5-6 illums...and i stopped doing that when someone wiped out all of those mini-fleet...now i just chase things down with my main fleet. So, my opinion-Don't waste the fleet space on them when you can have some Guardians instead.

Iconus and mothership should kept your fleet healthy.  After a fight they are good for repairs.

As far as support cruisers go, my personal opinion is as follows:

  1. Hoshiko
  2. Guardian
  3. Subjugator
  4. Subverter
  5. Cielo
  6. Overseer

 

The subjugator is something worth bringing out later.  It's cheap (4 fleet supply iirc) and can prevent enemies from retreating while providing a general support role in battle.  Now, it definitely takes back seat to the powerful guardian, but on the other hand if given the opportunity it can disable a guardian (or any other support cruiser) during battle.

Subjugators are pretty garbage.  Perserverence does make your ships immune to disable, but it's meh now, and always was.  Use it to repair your Motehrship, that's about it.  The disabiling ability is a joke, heal is not worth it. Overall the thing is not worth the credits/metal.  I find Hoshikos and Guardians only really worthwhile supprot cruisers in serious MP games. 

Vasari tend to get by without.  Best Vasari utility would be carrier with aoe heal.  Sometiems I may go for self heal ability for Enforcers.  Subverters are just so nerfed now I don't even bother with them. If I had them I think the shield debuf is now way better use of AM than the disable.

Subjugators are still good since Advent has no other way of heal other than repair bays.  Sometimes I find my fleet beat up if I don't get them.  The shield can keep them alive, but I can't get hull back.
