Weapon modding

Hi. I am trying to make a new cruiser for SOASE, and it seems to be going well. I may make a new model at some point, but for now it uses the heavy cruiser (TEC) model. If I set the:

DamagePerBank:LEFT 0.000000

and:

DamagePerBank:RIGHT 0.000000

To different values, would the ship be able to fire out of the sides, or do they need seperate indicator things on the model?

Yes you would need to add "seperate indicator things" on the model for that to work

there called dummy or null points, but yes, the orientation (direction) of these points determine what way the weapon fires. HERE is a tutorial on doing so. also it is suggested that you download a trial or whatever on 3ds max 9 for it.
