A different take on a new Sins game

Have the new be like Star Trek Bridge Commander

Hey everybody,

I have been thinking some what on how nice it would be if Stardock came out with another Sins game, execpt you can captain a ship like in Star Trek Bridge Commander.  Just think how nice it would be to directly control the Kol class or Radiance class or any of the other Capital ships.  So what do the rest of you Sinners think?

unfortunately games based off of other games don't really work,

its a good idea but it won't really have much sucess

Well, if so, I would like a more Starfleet Command 3 type game... Maybe with Bridge Commander's manuverability, but with sc3's features (+learning curve).

well, it's possible.  the one major detterent to the kind of thing you're asking for is the small fanbase.  only a certain number of people like that kind of game, and then they are split up into different settings such as WWII, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.

Personally, I would LOVE it if they came out with said game.

I'd much rather Ironclad release another Sins game after these 3 mini-expansions in a stand-alone release with 2 brand new factions.

-That alien race the Vasari were running from could finally make an appearence. 

-Maybe a sect of the advent that broke off from them hundreds of years ago that shows up and threaten both the Advent's way of thought and TEC's trader space. 

With both the Advent, and the Vasari tied between the new races and the TEC things would get interesting. I hope Ironclad will set the stage by a great marketing campaign to be even more successful in this new game. 

Maybe they could call it: Eclipse of a Solar Empire. Something sophisticated just like Sins of a Solar Empire.

When i say Bridge Commander i mean the overal engine,  being able to command it directly like Star Trek Legacy or a typical FPS, or even a brigde crew.  Maybe that could be what the Singe player camp. could be in part.

I dont know about the rest of you but i get tired of being an Admiral all the time, why not a Captain once in a while, because after all it's the Captains that have the most fun.
