I checked out the youtube video of the old trailer. The old models were so different. Maybe we'll get lucky and Ironclad will release them in one of their expansion packs. TEC and Vasari, the early years.

I have the Beta ships (from links in this thread).  I just finished fixing them up for 1.1+ and making them so they are unique models that don't overwrite the existing Kol and Marza.

I'm short on time atm so I'll try to post them on filefront later if people would like them.

In your mod's mesh (.mesh) and texture (.dds) folders respectively.  You then need to have an entity that is set to use them.

I suggest you take a look at some of the modding guides around here.  I'm afraid I can't give you a lesson in "how to mod" here in this thread.  Most everything you need to learn is here on the forums, but it can sometimes take a little searching and browsing.

The little round fronted ship in the first picture was available as an unused model in Sins 1.05.  It was listed in the Mesh directory as a type of "Gunship".  There were two gunship meshes, one for Psi and one for Vasari I believe.  They were removed in 1.10 but since you are working in 1.05 for 7DS as yet, you should have them in the reference data or your install's mesh folder.

TFL, Yeah, Ironclad has them, I already asked Blair about them.  He said they are holding on to them, for perhaps a new release.  My bets are on the third and final mini expansion that will add new ships in, and maybe a new race too.  I will ask Tristangooles.  Is that a gamer/modder like us, or part of the DEV's?  Just curious to see what tree I have to bark up to get an answer.

Dolkick, thanks man.  I have found tons of unused model, that one being one of them.  I have to recreate the textures if I want it to look like the pic above though.

Also, TFL, do you have any more Beta ships?  I noticed in the Beta vids that the TEC had more trader/civilian looking ships, with big cargo holds and such.  If you have anything you can spare, or will be willing to give up, please post them here.  And yes, they will be heading straight to 7DS.  You will of course be credited for providing them, and Ironclad for making them.

I downloaded 7deadlysins version 2.1 from filefront in order to get the beta kol from that mod...but i have a problem...the beta ships are not compatible with Diplomacy ??..I put the mesh in the mesh folder, the 3 texture files in the textures folder, and I replaced the mesh line from the entity file of the new Kol with the one of the beta kol...and when I enter the game, it stays black for a few seconds, than it crashes...can someone help me pls?

hey myfist0..I just sent you an email with the beta kol and beta marza, zip is around 8 megs..If you can make them work for Diplomacy, please let me know.....edit: one more thing, when I transformed the Kol mesh to text, I found an error at the second texure line : "SelfIlluminationTextureFileName "CaptialTCABetaKol-da.dds"....so it said "Captial" , not "Capital"...I said to me this must be why the game crashes...I reloaded the game, but it still crashed..so it must be something else that is causing the crash..hope you guys find out what..
