My torpedo ship and questions

What do you think?
This is the AI using them on me!
(These vids also contain another one of my modded ships,
not taking credit for the models, just the coding)

Also I would like to take this thread and make it a forum for people to address aspects of the game they think are useless or should be modded. i.e.abilities and the like, especially if the AI doesn't use them.

The 3 abilites that Vasari scouts have? are they a waste of ability space?

ok i will try to make another.

the torpedo ship are kind of small but they are making the big boom.

the first vid with the Skirmishers is better imo because it shows the splash damage,

those bigger ships are meant to take damage, so the sec vid doesn't look as good.

When Mansh00ter releases his volumetric mod for 1.11 then the explosions will only be better

This is a swarm of 67 Torpedo ships and 1 scout attacking the last enemy base.

It is a composite video as I did some pausing and deleted those parts.

Me playing TEC vs Advent

Stats:

1x Torpedo ship: 4000 cred, 1000 met, 1000 crys, 16 supply, 312 build seconds (after Industrial Jugg.)

67x4000cred=268,000 credits

67x1000met=67,000 metal

67x1000crys=67,000 crystal

67x16sply= 1072 fleet supply (not counting scout)

67x312seconds/8factories= 2613 seconds or ~43 min

(yes I split them equally in game too ) (on fast build times)

Do you have some CIS ships in there?

Also what explosions are you using for them? They look massive.

ok yeah, Eville's the sh** and i have borrowed some ships, but I did not take credit for them. (look at og post)

the explosions, are 3 parts. or 2. the actual "torpedo" gets a capital ship exp, plus the effect generates the "gas pocket" explosion and the other ships effected on "damagetarget" or whatever got something else but I forgot what it was. The sound is the Tec cannon hit planet sound. makes for a massive boom. On my comp it got laggy when all those ships started booming at the same time. soo many effects.

edit: just think, mansh00ter's volumetric explosions....
