I can't speak for the other two players on my team but I'm pretty sertain that I would have been polite and cordial as I almost always am.  If that was not the case then please accept my sincere apologies for my bad behavior. 

To put this in perspective we'd need to see exactly who was on what teams.  4v6 doesn't work when the team with 6 players has two or more players whose skill matches the skill of the players on the 4 man team.  Games where a team is shorthanded can sometimes end up being noob stomps and sometimes they can become intense, competitive games.  They aren't "gimme's" all that often.

It really didn't take us that long to complete the mop up.

Tell you what, I'm going to go over the replay if it will load up and run properly and  rewatch the dialogue and perhaps post some of it here if I can.

I'd imagine that'd cause a hell of a lot of problems in a game where one teammate builds a lot of culture.  Would be hard to cap a planet with a time limit while you're waiting for the culture to slide back.  That or having to annihilate a whole other system that's stacked broadcast centers just to recapture the first system to prevent the auto-win.

This is at least preferable to people who increase their planet health to make your wait 5 min per planet to bomb it back to the stone age. And assuming I don't have a REALLY pressing issue with time, I am normally OK with 5 more minutes for an uber battle which me and my allies will win due to the superior numbers. Its still fun seeing the ships pop....

Are you serious???  So, a player (no matter how pissed or how rude he wants to be) doesn't have the right to finish a game completely on his own terms.  He is required to quit because his opponents want a win without doing the mop-up work.  That is some twisting and turning logic right there.

I just played an online game earlier today and it had been awhile since I played online or the game really(been playin Evillejedi's mod).Anyway It was first time for a game of 1.1. I had taken 4 planets and my neighbor roles in and kills my 2 outermost worlds. Well at this point I didnt think I would recover. With a little teamwork from my AI friend we caught his fleet of 2 marzas and some carriers(alot smaller then I thought since it had been awhile since we fought cause I was building a fleet to come back).When he defeated my plantes early he had 2 marzas from the start vs my progenitar and 10 disciples. Soooo I killed his 2 marzas as they were running away and he says my ships wont move then quits. I was like wtf?? Not a big deal mind you but was irritating since I did all this work for a comeback after him killing 2 of my planets and he quits over a few ships. I had thought the battle had just begun when it was already over . Side note: The first planet he killed I had just colonized but the 2nd was a big deal as it was all my cyrstal(basically) and 2 military labs which had just got me ilums. So I had rebuild my labs and build my force with like 2 crystal extractors.

As for the topic at hand I am all for a % win. No culture but of basic logistics. Number of planets owned vs enemy along with fleet and income. This would be a fair win especially with a timer. If you cant make any comeback(take back 1 planet) then you pretty much lost. The problem is if you play a map of larger size. Its hard to manage defense across a whole empire and takes long time to move fleets. The game could go on forever if you cant catch his fleet. Mopping up on a large map sucks too.Thats why I try not to play them. Maybe thets not for everyone but the option would be nice.

There is something that people need to remember here. The players asking for the surrender are better then the AIs that NEWT had supporting him. So they would win that part of the battle. And I don't know of any player (DT guys included) that can take two or three good players by themselves. 2v3 or 4v6 etc... maybe, since double teamed player(s) only has to hold out while the other one win a 1v1 enough to lend some support. But 1 human + 2 AI vs 3 humans when the 3 are some of the better players online is going to near impossible to win. So the outcome sort of is already decided. It is now a mopping up exercise.

So yes, it IS possible to come back and win after being hit hard, especially if you have an ally who can help you. But the AIs will not sacrifice their fleet to save you and let you rebuild like a human will - it runs away chicken. And these players are unlikely to make a stupid mistake to let you kill them... Such as giving you an opportunity to rebuild your fleet by leaving you alone for 10-15 minutes and attacking somewhere else....

I also appoloies i am cp.kenpachi as will but i relise this this during the game. But i did not belive that whip would accutly post this.( after me a gini told him not too) People do have a right to play out in the end. but some time some ppl must understand that we all have live to get too we can just be spending time plaing sins al the time if a person work hard to get a win and accutly come out victoryise they they have a right to that win tho when i ask him to give up i  new their was little chance he might put up a fight so it would be better to move on with are live and froget thsi hole thing ever happen

I'lle finally weigh in here.  A big unseen factor was the freinds outside the game begging them to hurry up.  And anytime anyone asks you to quit before you've even battled, the natural response is no.
