I payed much more than I needed to.

I could have got Sins for £25 from GAME but I payed nearly double at the Stardock Store for it - just to show my support for a company that does not fill their games with DRM and all that other crap like Securom which does not stop pirates at all, thank you Stardock for not treating the PC gamer like a sheep, I will also pay the full none-discounted price for all other Stardock-Published Games in the future.

I wanted to post this to show that there are people out there who will not tolerate DRM and that companies who use it are losing money.

I did the same thing. I could get it for $29 from one of the stores here. Instead I went online and got the Collector's edition + box for $50. Because I want to support them I turned around the other day and bought the Galactic Civilization complete bundle for another $56. Tonight I will go home and buy add the expansion for Sins. Maybe this weekend I will even pre order Demi-God or something else out there. I will keep buying as long as you keep providing. Thanks again

I hate piracy...free is the better four letter f-word, no doubt but in this context it's the worst (guess the second worst!!! hehe).  I always buy the game or the music (iTunes).  I got this game the day it came out from GameStop for a reasonable $39.99.  That was a very good price for a game I still play quite frequently...

At first, my housemate pirated it. Then we played it. Then we organised a 6 player LAN. After 2 weeks, we realised just how guilty we felt, especially after reading Stardock articles about their company policy...Jesus Wept and here I am.

Even though piracy is really bad for pc gaming, it's lack of pc exculsives that will kill it. The average person if they have a choice will get a consule version of a game so they dont have to deal with sys requirements and such. More games like Sins and the pc would be much better off. BTW, DRM doesnt bother me as long as it doesnt tax my system, or add bs.....

as i was interested to know, i bought the game online when it first came out and paid £22.98.

if i'd done the same today it would be £27.80.

 

so 'im gald to have supported the company and got a deal too

also worth noting that tube fairs would've been about £2.80, so it's still the best thing as you save the hassle.
